Cashrot (“we”, “our”, or “us”) provides an iOS app that helps you set screen-time guardrails and stay disciplined. This policy describes what information we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Screen Time / Family Controls data — To enforce limits you configure, the app uses Apple’s Family Controls and Device Activity APIs on your device. App and category selections are stored locally and in your App Group container; we do not receive a list of your apps on our servers.
- Purchase history — Unlock and bypass purchases are processed by Apple via StoreKit. We receive only what Apple provides to validate transactions (e.g. transaction identifiers), not your payment card details.
- Usage and diagnostics — We may use analytics and crash reporting tools to improve stability and features. These services collect pseudonymous identifiers and technical logs, not the content of your blocked apps.
- Support communications — If you email us, we retain your message and address to respond.
How we use information
We use data to operate the app (enforce limits, process unlocks), improve the product, comply with law, and respond to support requests. We do not sell your personal information.
Storage and sharing
Most limit and session data stays on your iPhone, including data shared
with our app extensions via the App Group
group.com.bmutafov.cashrot.blocker. We may use trusted
service providers (e.g. analytics, crash reporting) under contractual
obligations to protect your data.
Your choices
You can revoke Screen Time permission in iOS Settings, delete the app, or contact us to request deletion of support correspondence. In-app account deletion (when available) is provided inside the app as required by Apple.
Children
Cashrot is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
